| Alexandra EXTER (1882-1949). | |
| Blue, Black, Red. 1917-18. Oil and gouache on canvas. 120 by 80 cm. Private collection. | |
Exter was one of the first in the world to draw abstract pictures. We know this from the witness, well-known art critic Ya. Tugendhold. But from Kyiv these works disappeared and appeared as anonyms. I ask the current owners to lend one of them, the Blue, Black, Red, for the exhibition entitled Avant-garde & Ukraine. 1993. Major
